Magnolia

Magnolia Restaurant is owned and operated by well established restaurateurs Gianni and Tracey Caporuscio. Located on the hill top above Turtle Cove in the Miramar Resort (formerly Erebus Inn), diners can enjoy spectacular views from Blue Hills to Grace Bay. Since opening in 1974, the hotel has seen many proprietors come and go and you would be hard pushed to find a local who doesn’t have fond memories of times spent on the decks of the old Erebus. This establishment is held close to the hearts of many, a fact that does not go amiss with its current custodians.

Gianni started his culinary career in 1981 when he decided to attend a local culinary institute in his home country of Italy. After graduating in 1985 he worked at Relais Chateau hotel restaurants in London, England and Jersey in the Channel Islands. Searching for more challenging work Gianni moved to Bermuda and worked at Horizon Cottages and then the award winning Relais Chateau hotel ‘Waterloo House’.

Tracey’s culinary career started in 1991 after completing a degree in Hotel & Catering Management in the UK. After a year of hotel management in her home country she moved to Bermuda where she and Gianni met. After marrying in Bermuda in 1995 they chose Provo as their honeymoon destination. As many before them, they fell in love with the island and decided to pack up their possessions and make the big move and open their own restaurant right here on Provo. Young and enthusiastic they made it through the tough years and three successful restaurants later, Magnolia is their pride and joy.
